What’s surprisingly softer and remarkably stronger than cotton? Another cellulosic fiber called Tencel®. Why not blend the unique strength and silky-smooth softness of Tencel® with cotton for even greater comfort and durability? We thought that was a great idea, too! Tencel is a cellulosic fiber similar to cotton, but with added strength to create protective fabrics that withstand tough jobs. Despite their strength, AMTEX™ TC fabrics feel lighter than they actually are, which enhances the comfort of garments made with this fabric. AMTEX™ TC fabrics protect against arc flash and flash fire hazards. (Use the hover capability, hover over flash fire – component recognized to the NFPA 2112 standard for flash fire protection. Hover over arc flash – meets NFPA 70E and compliant with ASTM F1506 for electric arc protection.)
